Who is QueenSix Poker and what do we stand for?
Our mission: Queen Six Poker provides the highest quality equipment, poker play, service, and value in Australia. We use premium quality equipment, and ensure consistency by providing well trained poker tournament hosts. We do this via three distinct avenues:
- The Queens Six Poker League provides skilled poker players with a structure and environment where success is influenced more heavily by a players' skill level than in any other poker league in Australia, while also working with venues to maximise their potential to gain revenue and new regular customers through our tournaments.
- Queen Six Poker hosts high class corporate and private poker events tailored to individual requirements.
- Queen Six Poker supplies Australia with premium quality poker equipment.
QueenSix poker is founded on the premise of providing higher quality play, equipment, and service.
Founded by James Kruss and Gavin Williams, the business was conceived largely out of frustration regarding the way existing poker operators structured the game and service. Further investigation highlighted that this was not only a concern for players, but also venues and clients. QueenSix was specifically set up to provide a premium, customer focussed service, for players, venues and clients alike.
We are in this because we are passionate about, and believe in what we are doing. QueenSix poker is effectively a crusade to provide a more fun, fair and higher quality service for players, venues, and clients. We have procured the best custom made equipment the world has to offer, and provide a premium quality service for business class rates. - James Kruss

Where did the name 'QueenSix' come from?
Due to the blind structures used by other poker operators, James Kruss and Gavin Williams were finding that players were often being forced to call large bets with average to poor hands. Although this is part of poker, it was happening to players even if they were not holding short stacks.
Over a period of three weeks, Kruss and Williams both hit a losing streak. Amazingly, eight consecutive games in a row, Kruss' or Williams' Pocket Aces, Kings, or Queens, were busted by callers with Queen Six, despite large preflop raises. A legend began to grow and spread around Sydney that Queen Six was the unbeatable hand.
While Kruss and Williams were considering options for the business name, players were consistently stating that Queen Six was a favourite hand. It seemed to be fate. ...and as fate would have it, shortly after the name was confirmed, Sydney school teacher Grant Levy won PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Grand Final at Sydney’s Star City Casino after his Q6 beat Jeremiah Vinsant's Q10. This made the combination of cards even more famous, while Levy became an instant millionaire.
Expect big things from the QueenSix brand. Kruss and Williams certainly do!
