Short stack is fine for big Evan

After finishing on the bubble (4th) in the Grand Final for the Friday night game, Evan Morris took a more aggressive approach on the Saturday when starting with fewer chips.

It could have ended in an early retirement when he called all the way to the river, and all-in, with only pocket 8s, against Shane Schnieder. Lucky for Morris, Schnieder was on a total bluff, and this gave him the chips he needed to play his natural game.

It wasn't all bad for Schnieder though. He was drawn as the winner of the Boundary Hotel $1000 Poker promotion! This capped off an excellent weekend for the Schnieders, after Shane's wife Tammy won the Friday night final.

Once Morris had the chips, his stack just seemed to get bigger, and despite the best players on the leaderboard putting in their best efforts, David "Harrington Says" Shrestha and Adarsha Rudrappa had to settle for 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Morris won $300 cash, a bottle of scotch and a case of beer, and now qualifies for the Sydney QueenSix Poker Championship Event with 16 players and a cash prize pool in excess of $1100.
