Shane Schneider beats two time champ!

Last Wednesday saw the last chance for players to win qualification to the $3000 Grand Final Event at the Dolphin Hotel in Surry Hills.

The night attracted 30 players, including many QueenSix regulars and some new faces eager to qualify for the big game. In order to qualify for the Dolphin Hotel Grand Final, players needed to play in at least five out of the nine preliminary events, or win in weeks 8 or 9.

After a few hours of play it came down to Taf Tagliaferro, who was playing for 3 straight wins at the Dolphin, and Shane Schneider, a regular at the Boundary Hotel, who was aiming to win qualification to the Dolphin Hotel Grand Final. The battle lasted some time and saw Schneider victorious in front of a number of onlookers taken in by the excitement. The moment was captured on video and you can view it online in the QueenSix Poker photo gallery, under Dolphin Hotel.

Schneider will now be eligible to play in the Dolphin Hotel Grand Final this Wednesday (Jul 2) against a small field of runners. There will be a side tournament for those who have not qualified, so get down to the Dolphin and be part of the action!
